It's finally that time of year to bring out all the autumnal make-up colours - especially those deep berry and brown lip shades. They are definitely my two favourite lip colours and I look forward to being able to wear it again this time of year! So after having a little browse through my lipsticks, I've gathered a few of favourite Autumnal lipsticks to share.
First of, I chose some mauve/pink lip shades which were NYX's Soft Matte Lip Cream in Zurich and MAC's Lipstick in Faux. These two are both great for creating a more natural make-up look during the day time, but still adding that Autumnal feel to it. The NYX lip cream in Zurish creates a creamy pink tone with a matte finish without drying out your lips too much. If matte finishes aren't your thing, I'd suggest going for MAC's Faux in a satin finish. This is a really pretty pink/nude shade that compliments almost any skin tone and make-up look. It's a must for those crispy Autumn days.
Next up, the purples. I chose MAC's lipstick in Plumful which is rose-plum shade which is brilliant for those who don't like shades that are too dark, but still want something that feels a little Autumnal. I'd describe this as a great transitioning shade from Summer to Autumn, and which it's lustre finish, it's creamy and not too drying on the lips. I then picked NYX's Lingerie Liquid Lipstick in Embellishment which is more of a dusty lavender colour. It's a unique shade that really screams Autumn, and for only £7 you can't complain! If you're looking for something bolder, MAC's lipstick in Cyber really gives that statement look. It's a very dark, reddened purple with a satin finish, and is easily one of my favourite picks for Autumn! Match it with the MAC Cyber lipliner and it's a winner.
Another favourite shade this Autumn would definitely be the browns. MAC's lipstick in Stone is a beautiful greyish-brown shade with a matte finish. It's different to any other lipstick I own, and is definitely a must-have for this season. A more warm rich brown would be NYX's Lingerie Liquid Lipstick in Teddy which is probably one of my favourites from the Lingerie collection. It is such a pretty colour that gives you that perfect Autumnal look.
Lastly, the reds. Not only does it come in a rose gold tube, but Charlotte Tilbury's Love Liberty is a beautiful and flattering berry/plum colour which gives off that 'red carpet' feeling. I really love this shade and tend to reach for it more during the Autumn evenings. A slightly deeper burgundy/red lip is Nars' Charlotte. While it's a little more pricey than the others, you can really see the difference in quality and it's lasting power. It's definitely a must-have high end product if you're looking for a statement berry shade with high quality this Autumn!
